Manager -Procurement and Contracts
Roles and Responsibilities
- Identifying project requirements and Preparation of tender packages for the brought out items and suitable agencies in consultation with project team.
- Floating enquiries, Follow-up with agencies to get quotations from agencies.
- Scrutinizing submissions from agencies and short listing on the basis of technical and commercial competencies.
- Conducting techno-commercial negotiations with short listed agencies.
- Preparing Comparative statement of prices and terms & conditions vis–vis our cost provision and contractual terms & conditions and obtaining approval of regional committee.
- Forwarding comparative statement along with all enclosures to HO for management approval.
- Coordinating with HO for any further discussions/ negotiations and obtaining approved comparative statement form HO, with revisions, if any.
- Preparing & issuing detailed LOI, work order, Sub-Contract Agreement, Tri-Partite Agreements, Bi-Partite Agreements to finalized agency by formulating contractual Terms and Conditions for Sub-Contracts and ensuring that these are consistent with the Main Contract and coordinating with site for timely mobilization by agency.
- Enhancing Vendor/Agencies data base for Civil Packages & Other Items.
- Preparation of Pre-start Estimate for new projects.
- Ensuring that all commercial activities are conducted throughout the execution of the contract in accordance with the projects commercial procedures.
- Assisting in all commercial correspondence and contractual notices issued in accordance with the contract conditions and the projects commercial procedures.
- Assisting in disputes, claims and significant variations in contracts.
- NT/Extra items formulation, review & approvals to projects
- Sub-Contractor Performance evaluation
Desired Candidate Profile
- B.E/B.Tech. (Civil) with minimum 12 years of experience from a reputed institute with good academic & professional performance.
- Worked with reputed contracting companies and exposure to building construction.
- Good Negotiation Skills & Exposure to Market rates of Civil & Structural Works.
- Knowledge & understanding of Contract & Arbitration Acts and Case Laws.
- Proficiency in computer applications.
- Knowledge of SAP-PS,MM & SD Modules.
