Job description
Responsibilities:
- Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies
- Determine quantity and on time delivery of materials
- Handling Imports & Domestic purchases of Zippers, Sliders, Accessories & Fittings which are planned against the Customer Orders
- Daily monitoring of ROLs of all the Stocks and placing the Orders accordingly so as to avoid the materials shortages and to improve the satisfaction of Internal stakeholders
- Responsible for Sourcing suppliers, forecasting material requirements, assessing risk factors, and daily operation of material feeding
- Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms
- Maintaining strong vendor relationships and liasoning with finance department to ensure fine transactions
- Manage the activities to achieve 100% OTD for all the materials related to Orders and to escalate in case of any material discrepancies
- Reduction of Non-Moving stocks every month, through effective CFT approach with Designers and Sampling department
- Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power
- Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand
- Maintain records of goods ordered and received.
- Stays familiar with the company’s needs
- Makes supply orders
- Oversees supply chain management
Requirements
Proven working experience in SCM & Sourcing Leather Goods Industry
Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management
A knack for negotiation and networking
Working experience of vendor management software
