Assistant General Manager – production/Factory Manager/Unit Head/Plant

Job Description

1 Plant Operations, Production Planning & Execution:
• Lead annual operational budgeting exercise (OPEX) as per annual volume projections.
• Conduct Daily/Weekly/Monthly Production review meeting with the plant functions for timely
resolution of issues.
• Communicate finalized monthly Production Plan to respective department Heads.
• Ensure execution of production plan as per agreed supply plan.
• Approve monthly manpower requirement planning.
• Review stocks (RM/PM/FG) with relevant teams and resolve any critical stock issue.
• Ensure daily finished goods dispatch plan is achieved.
• Responsible for achieving short and long-term operational efficiency goals.
2 Innovations, Growth and Projects:
• Provide strategic direction and promote culture for continuous improvement in operations
activities.
• Applies knowledge and guide teams on projects or other experience to demonstrate ability to align
multiple functions, the interaction with supply chain functions or interactions with financial
performances functions like Finance, sales or marketing etc.
• Create cross functional team comprising Production, Maintenance and Quality for managing
process reliability.
• Ensure implementation of projects within set timeline and deliverables.
• Approve maintenance work, purchasing of equipment etc related to projects.
• Ensure that critical production equipment uptime target is met with innovative maintenance
approach.
• Ensure optimum conversion costs through continuous improvement.
• Lead tasks for teaming up with R&D to develop Process SOPs, Work Instructions, and FMEA etc.
• Assist Operation head in planning for plant capacity expansion and creation of CAPEX proposal.
• Demonstrate project management skills and deliver knowledge of effective interfacing with multi-
locational stakeholders via project teams.
• Monitors deliverables for the Supply Chain and drives Supply Chain Optimization projects or roles
to understand the broader supply chain strategy.
• Demonstrates Exposure to technological innovations with a mindset to gain exposure to and apply
leading engineering practices.

• Guides a large group (i.e., a project team, manufacturing plant, etc.) through a change
management process to develop the skills and experience required to drive and sustain new
processes or paradigms across large organizations.
• Exhibits Skills for resolution of Complex Organizational Business Cases organizational or high
profile projects to successfully drive cross-functional or cross-supply chain effectiveness and
demonstrate visible leadership in critical and risky situations.
